These Terms and Conditions apply to you when you Rent or Buy any items from Envogue by Micaelan Jade or visit the Website. By clicking on the necessary tick box, replying by email/WhatsApp, or hiring any Clothing on our website, Instagram page, or directly, you are bound by the Terms and Conditions, and we are entitled to rely on the fact that you agree to Rent or Purchase Clothing from us subject to the Terms and Conditions set out herein.


 

Definitions

In these terms and conditions, unless the context indicates otherwise, the following words and expressions bear the meanings assigned to them:

'Administration Fees' means the amount we charge you if there are Late Fees or Replacement Fees payable, if you cancel a Rent, or if you return or exchange Clothing that does not fit.

'Clothing' means any dresses, garments, and other accessories available for rent or purchase from us; if the context so requires, Clothing will also mean the specific Clothing which you have rented/purchased from us.

'Rent / Rental / Rented' means the Rent of Clothing from us.

'Rental Cost' means the amount payable by you for the Rent, as indicated on the Website or as otherwise agreed with us in writing.

'Rental Period' means the period for which you Rent the Clothing as selected on the Website or as otherwise agreed with us in writing.

'Late Fees' means the amount payable for returning the Clothing after the Rental Period.

'Damage Fee' is a refundable charge collected to cover the cost of repairing or replacing rental items returned with normal wear and tear, such as removable stains or missing embellishments.

'Replacement Fees' means the amount equal to the retail value of the Clothing that has not been returned, has been damaged, or has been altered in any way, as determined by us in our sole and absolute discretion, acting reasonably.

'Envogue by Micaelan Jade / us / our / we' mean Envogue by Micaelan Jade Proprietary Limited.

'User / you' means the individual making use of the Website and service provided by us.

'Website' means the official website of Envogue by Micaelan Jade www.envogue.co.za.

 


 

Section A: Rental Terms and Conditions

At our boutique, we offer a seamless and luxurious gown rental experience, allowing you to wear a breathtaking designer piece for your special occasion without the commitment of purchasing.

The Fitting Experience

At Envogue, fittings are designed to be intimate, luxurious, and intentionally personal. Each appointment is reserved with care to ensure that every client receives dedicated one-on-one assistance in discovering the perfect silhouette, fit, and feel for her special occasion. To help us preserve this experience for all clients, we kindly ask that the following appointment guidelines be observed.

Appointment Reservation

A fitting fee is required in order to secure your appointment. Please note that this fee is non-refundable as your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and set aside for personalised styling and fitting assistance.

Appointment Confirmation

Appointments are only confirmed once the fitting fee of R250 has been received.

Guests

To maintain a calm, elegant, and comfortable fitting environment, we kindly allow a maximum of 2 accompanying guests per appointment.

Children

To preserve the atmosphere of the boutique and ensure a focused fitting experience for all clients, children under the age of 12 are not permitted during fitting appointments.

Arrival Time

We kindly ask that all clients arrive promptly for their scheduled appointment. Should you arrive late, please note that this may shorten your fitting time, as we may still need to honour the appointments scheduled after yours.

Your Time with Us

Your fitting appointment is a dedicated experience created with care and we encourage each client to arrive ready to enjoy the process of finding the perfect gown. Our team will always do their utmost to guide you with warmth, honesty, and expert attention to fit, style, and occasion.

No-Show Policy

Should you wish to move your appointment date or time, kindly notify us at least 24 hours in advance so that we may assist with rescheduling, subject to availability.

If no prior notice is given and the client does not attend the scheduled appointment, this will be considered a no-show. In such cases, the booking fee will be forfeited, no date change will be accommodated and the booking fee remains non-refundable.

A new booking and payment will be required should you wish to schedule another appointment.

Booking Process

1. Book Your Appointment

To ensure a personalised experience, clients are required to schedule an appointment/book a fitting via our website or via Whatsapp. This allows us to dedicate one hour to helping you find the perfect gown for your event.

2. Personalised Styling & Fitting

During your appointment, our team will guide you through our curated collection of evening wear, assisting you in selecting a gown that compliments your style, silhouette, and occasion.

3. Secure Your Dress

Once you have selected your gown, we will confirm its availability for your event date.

4. Rental Agreement & Payment

A rental agreement will be completed and a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Proof of address and a copy of Identity documents will also be requested before rental is confirmed, either in the form of an ID book/card, Driver's license, or Passport. The dress will then be reserved exclusively for you.

Customers may book rentals through our Website, WhatsApp, or directly in writing.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and reserve your selected gown for your event date. The remaining 50% balance must be paid before, or on, the collection date.

Kindly note that no rental gowns will be released until full payment has been received.

Refundable Damage Fee

An additional 50% damage fee is payable upon booking and will be refunded if the dress is received in good condition. If the dress is damaged beyond repair or not returned within 5 calendar days after your scheduled return date, the customer will be liable for the full retail value of the item, at our boutique.

5. Collection

Your gown will be prepared and professionally steamed prior to collection so that it is event-ready.

Before the gown is released, a condition inspection will be conducted in the presence of the client. Photographs will be taken as documentation of the garment’s condition at the time of collection. The gown will be inspected again upon return to ensure it is received in the same condition.

6. Your Special Occasion

Enjoy your event in a stunning gown designed to make you feel confident, elegant, and unforgettable.

7. Return of the Gown

After your event, the gown should be returned to the boutique by the agreed return date.

Rental Period and Fees

Each dress rental is valid for three (3) calendar days only.

A daily late return fee of R500 will apply for each additional day, with 2 calendar days being the maximum.

Dress Collection and Returns

It is the client’s responsibility to collect and return the rented gown from our Camps Bay boutique on the agreed collection and return dates.

Rental Extensions

If you require an extension of your rental period, prior notice must be given before the agreed return time. Please note that extensions are not guaranteed, as the gown may already be reserved for another client. We kindly ask that you notify us at least 12 hours in advance should you wish to request an extension, so that we may check availability and advise whether the extension can be accommodated.

Dress Condition / Cleaning & Inspection

The rental fee includes dry cleaning. Envogue inspects all garments before dispatch and upon return and reserves the right to charge for damages accordingly.

Cancellations

More than 14 days before the event date

The 50% deposit remains non-refundable, however no additional charges will apply if the remaining balance has not yet been paid.Should the full rental amount already have been settled, a refund of the remaining 50% rental balance  together with the 50% damage fee will be processed accordingly.

7–14 days before the event date

The 50% deposit remains non-refundable.If the full rental amount has already been paid, the remaining 50% balance may be refunded. No additional charges will apply if the remaining balance has not yet been paid. Should the full rental amount already have been settled, a refund of the remaining 50% rental balance together with the 50% damage fee will be processed accordingly.

Less than 7 days before the event date

Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date are non-refundable, as the gown has been reserved exclusively and is unlikely to be rebooked.

Care of the Garment

Clients are responsible for taking reasonable care of the garment during the rental period.

The following are strictly prohibited:

Altering, cutting, or permanently modifying the gown.

Attempting to wash or dry-clean the garment.

Using adhesives or materials that may damage the fabric.

Professional cleaning of the gown will be handled by the boutique, upon return of the dress.

Damage or Loss

Clients are responsible for any significant damage, staining, or loss of the garment during the rental period. If the garment is damaged and requires repair, the damage fee will not be refunded. If a gown is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, the client may be liable for Envogue’s full retail value of the garment.

Dress Changes

Clients may request to change to another gown, subject to availability. Requests should preferably be made at least 7-14 days before the event date.

No-Show Policy

Failure to collect the gown on the agreed collection date without prior notice will be considered a cancellation and no refunds will be issued.

 


 

Section B: Purchase Terms and Conditions

Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations (Online Purchases)

Selected dresses may be returned for a full refund, excluding courier fees.

Notify us within 24 hours of delivery via info@envogue.co.za.

If delivery is defective, send photographic evidence within 24 hours.

Return items within 5 business days (customer pays courier unless defective or incorrect style, size or incorrect item is received).

Items must be:

Unworn

Free of stains, tears, odors

With all labels attached

In the original packaging

Kindly note: Refunds are not processed when there are signs of wear.

Online Orders, Returns & Exchanges

Each garment is carefully prepared and handled with great care before being sent to its new home. Should you need assistance regarding a recent online purchase, the following terms apply.

Returns

Selected garments may be considered for a refund, excluding any shipping or courier charges, provided they meet our return requirements.

Should you wish to request a return, kindly notify us within 24 hours of receiving your order by emailing info@envogue.co.za.

If Your Order Arrives Incorrect or Damaged

In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, defective, incorrect in style, incorrect in size, or not as ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photographic evidence so that we may assess the matter accordingly.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect, return arrangements will be addressed by Envogue, with care.

Return Window

Approved returns must be sent back within 5 business days of delivery.

Unless the return is due to a confirmed defect or an error on our part, all return courier costs will remain the responsibility of the client.

Return Requirements

To be eligible for a return, garments must be returned in their original condition and must remain:

Unworn

Unwashed

Free from stains, makeup, perfume, body odour, tears, or any damage

With all original tags and labels attached

In the original packaging

Sale & Promotional Pieces

Please note that all garments purchased on sale, promotion, clearance, or at a reduced price are considered final sale.

These pieces are sold as is and are therefore not eligible for return, exchange, cancellation, or refund.

We kindly encourage clients to ensure they are completely satisfied with their selection before purchasing any sale item.

Items Not Eligible for Return

In the interest of garment care and fairness to all clients, returns will not be accepted where an item shows any signs of wear, alteration, damage after delivery, missing tags, staining, perfume or body odour.

Any garment returned that does not meet our return standards may be returned to the client at their expense.

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled prior to dispatch. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it will be subject to the standard return terms above.

Refund Processing

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. Where approved, refunds will be processed in 14 calendar days and via the original method of payment, excluding courier and shipping charges where applicable.

 


 

Section C: General Terms (Applicable to Both Rentals and Purchases)

Payment Options & Security

Visa, MasterCard, Payflex, EFT accepted.

EFT orders processed upon receipt of proof of payment.

Card payments via DPO PayGate. See paygate.co.za for SSL3/security details.

Envogue does not store payment details; they’re processed securely via PayGate.

We also accept payments via EFT (electronic funds transfer), Yoco online payment gateway, and in-store using our POS (Point of sale)

Customer Information & Privacy

Complies with PAIA (Act 2 of 2000). By using our service you agree to our Privacy Policy and consent to data collection/processing.

Availability and Delivery

Only available to South African customers. If a product is unavailable after payment, a full refund is processed within 14 calendar days.

Liability and Disclaimer

Envogue is not liable for damages from late deliveries, courier delays, or unreported defects. Services are provided as is without warranties unless explicitly stated.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

All content is the property of Envogue by Micaelan Jade. Unauthorized use, copying, or distribution is prohibited.

Modifications and Service Changes

We may change prices, discontinue services, or modify these terms at any time without notice.

Jurisdiction and Legal

Governed by the laws of South Africa. Domicilium citandi et executandi: Cape Town, South Africa.

Boutique Etiquette & General Terms

By placing an order, securing a fitting appointment, or purchasing with Envogue, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined above.

These policies are in place to protect the integrity of our garments, the exclusivity of our appointments, and the quality of the experience we strive to offer every client who walks through our doors.
